A bathroom is the most disruptive room in the house to replace. It's the smallest space we work in, it needs the most trades, and for most of the job you haven't got a bathroom.
Which is why the coordination matters more here than anywhere else. A bathroom that runs properly is one where the plasterer arrives the day after first fix and the tiler arrives the day after the plasterer, not one where each trade is chased separately and everyone waits.
We design bathrooms, build the furniture, and run the project. We coordinate the rest ourselves.
Where it starts
Bathrooms are unforgiving of guesswork. Everything is fixed - waste positions, stud walls, window heights - and there's rarely a spare 50mm anywhere.
We start with a proper survey, then produce detailed drawings and realistic visuals in CAD so you can see the room before anything is bought. That's where the layout gets resolved: whether the bath and shower can both fit, whether moving the soil pipe is worth it, whether the door swing is costing you a metre of usable wall.

What we make
This is the part we make ourselves, and it's usually the difference between a bathroom that looks fitted and one that looks furnished.
Standard vanity units come in standard widths. Bathrooms very rarely do. A run built to the actual dimensions of the wall - with the basin where you want it rather than where the unit puts it, and storage running the full height instead of stopping at 800mm - uses a small room far better.
We build vanity units, tall storage, mirrored cabinets, alcove shelving, bath panels and boxing that matches rather than approximates. Materials are specified for a bathroom environment rather than carried over from a kitchen.

Products
We supply sanitaryware, brassware and furniture through established local plumbers' merchants and respected manufacturers.
That costs slightly more than the cheapest online source and it's worth it for two reasons: the products are what they say they are, and if something arrives damaged or fails in year two there's someone to go back to.
Brassware, tiling and furniture are chosen with longevity in mind. A tap is something you use half a dozen times a day for fifteen years, and the difference between a good one and a cheap one becomes obvious quite quickly.
You're not obliged to buy through us. If you've found something you want elsewhere, tell us before the design is finalised so we can draw around the actual dimensions.
Bring us a room, a rough idea and a budget, and we'll tell you honestly what's possible with it.
The whole job
A bathroom is rarely just a bathroom.
Depending on the job it can involve:
We're carpenters and furniture makers. The plumbing, electrical and heating work is carried out by qualified trades we've worked with for years - that's the right way round, and anyone telling you they personally do all of it is telling you something odd.
What we do is run it. We book the trades ourselves, sequence them so nobody is waiting on anybody, and deal with it when something slips. You get one company to call and one programme to follow.
Bathrooms are the most disruptive job we do, so most of ours are close to home - Hockley, Hawkwell, Rochford, Rayleigh and Benfleet mainly.
That's partly practical. A bathroom involves more trades in a smaller space than anything else, and being local is what lets us keep them sequenced properly rather than losing a day every time something slips.
Get started
Tell us about the room and we'll arrange a visit. We'll measure up, talk through what you're after and what it's likely to cost, and put a design together. No charge and no obligation for the initial consultation.
